WebWork AI in Slack and WebWork Chat

WebWork AI works inside your team chats: in Slack, through the WebWork app, and in WebWork Chat. Ask it about your workspace, or ask it to create tasks, projects and standups. It answers from your workspace’s data, within your permissions.

The Owner can always use WebWork AI. Other roles can when the Owner selects them in Settings > WebWork AI > Permissions. WebWork AI is in every plan, with credits shared by the whole workspace: 10 a month on Pro, 25 on Plus and 50 on Premium. Each question or action uses one credit. WebWork AI doesn’t answer while it is turned off in Settings > Features.

Ask WebWork AI in Slack

Connect Slack to WebWork and add the WebWork app to your channels. Then mention @WebWork in a channel, or write to the app in its Messages tab, under Apps in the Slack sidebar.

How to set it up, the Slack commands, and what the app posts to your channels: WebWork Slack App.

Ask WebWork AI in WebWork Chat

Open Chat from the chat icon at the top right of your dashboard, or from Communication > Chat. Then open your direct messages with WebWork AI, or mention WebWork AI in a chat or a channel.

What else you can do in WebWork Chat: Chat.

What you can ask WebWork AI

Write in your own words. The same questions work in Slack and in WebWork Chat, for example:

  • “How many hours did I work this week?”
  • “Who was absent today?”
  • “Show my tasks”
  • “Create a task for Anna to review the UI design”
  • “Set up daily standups at 10:30 in this channel”
  • “What holidays are coming up?”
  • “When is Name Surname’s birthday?”

WebWork AI asks for any detail it needs before it creates something. Only Owners and Executive Managers create and remove standups.

Get reports, birthday and holiday messages in a channel

WebWork AI can post daily and weekly reports and birthday messages to a Slack or WebWork Chat channel. Owners and Executive Managers turn them on in Settings > WebWork AI > Chat Automations.

Holiday messages are set on each holiday, in Time Off > Holidays: Holidays and Memorial Days.
