Settings in Desktop Tracker
To open the Desktop Tracker settings, click the Settings icon next to your avatar.
Here you can:
- Select how many monitors can be captured
- Enable and disable the Background mode
- Enable and disable Auto-run and Auto-updates
- Set a reminder about turning on the tracker
- Enable sounds for key tracker effects
- Set the app theme
Monitor Settings
Select how many monitors can be captured
- Choose between capturing 1 or multiple monitors if you have a multi-monitor setup
- The tracker will take screenshots from all selected monitors
- Useful if you work across multiple screens and want complete activity tracking
Screenshot Modes
Background Mode
- When enabled: Screenshots are taken silently without any notification
- When disabled: You'll see a brief notification each time a screenshot is captured
- Enable this for uninterrupted workflow, especially during presentations or focused work sessions
App Settings
Autorun
- When enabled: WebWork Tracker starts automatically when you turn on your computer
- Ensures tracking begins immediately without manual intervention
- Recommended for users who track time daily
Auto-update
- When enabled: The tracker automatically installs new versions when available
- Keeps your tracker current with the latest features and bug fixes
- Updates typically happen in the background without interrupting your work
Additional Settings (via Avatar Menu)
Click your profile avatar at the bottom of the sidebar to access:
Workspace Management
- Switch between different workspaces if you belong to multiple organizations
- Each workspace has its own projects and tracking settings
Refresh Tracker Data
- Forces the tracker to sync with the server
- Use this if you notice discrepancies between tracker and dashboard data
Check for Updates
- Manually check for new tracker versions
- Useful if auto-update is disabled but you want to stay current
Send Log
- Sends diagnostic information to support team
- Use when troubleshooting issues with customer support
Contact Customer Support
- Direct link to get help with tracker issues
- Opens your default email client or support form
Quick Navigation
The left sidebar provides quick access to:
- Home icon: Opens your main Dashboard
- Reports icon: Access your time and activity reports
- Chat icon: Open team communication features

Click the question mark icon to access the Help Center for detailed guides and troubleshooting articles.
Pro Tips
- Enable Background Mode if screenshot notifications disrupt your workflow
- Keep Auto-update on to ensure you have the latest bug fixes and features
- Use Autorun if you frequently forget to start the tracker
- Regularly check for updates if you experience any tracking issues
