WebWork calculates how your workspace members spent project budgets based on the set hourly rate of members, projects, and their worked hours.
Project Budgeting is always accessible to the Workspace Owner, and Executive Managers, and Project Managers if given access by the Owner.
To give Executives and Project Managers access to Project Budgeting,
- go to People > Members
- click the Executive or Project Manager's name you want to give access to
- opent the Billing tab in each member's window
- enable Show hourly rate
To see the Project Budget report, go to Reports > Project Budgeting.
The report has three tab views:
- Datagrid
- Project Overview
- Summary
Let's go over each tab separately.
Datagrid Tab
On the Datagrid tab, you can see all your projects with their
- estimated budget
- spent budget
- spent hours
- budget status
- remaining budget
- remaining budget in percentages
You can customize the view by selecting to see the project you want, projects with the budget status you want, and active or archived projects from project status.
How to create charts on Project Budgeting report?
You can create charts only on the Datagrid tab.
To create custom charts on Project Budgeting,
- make sure you are on the Datagrit tab
- highlight the data you want
- right-click the mouse
- navigate to Chart Range
- click the chart type you want
The chart will be ready and you can customize it further.
Project Overview Tab
On Project Overview tab, you can see the budget details of each project separately.
To view the budget data of each project, select the project you want from the top right-hand corner.
Now that you have selected the project, on top, you will see:
- the estimated budget for the selected project
- the spent budget of the selected project
- the tracked time on the selected project
- the budget status of the selected project
Throughout the Project Overview report, you will see:
- the project budget spent by tasks (how much time they took and how much budget)
- the budget spent by time (whether this project's budget was spent through time tracking, idle time, or manually added or requested time)
- the budget spent by members (their tracked time on this project, hourly rate, spent amount, and the percentage of the budget spent by each member out of the total spent budget)
Summary Tab
On the Summary tab on Project Budgeting, you can see:
- an overview of all projects in your workspace and their budget details
- estimated project budgets
- the budget amounts spent by each project
- an overview of budget statuses
- overspent projects
Organize Columns
Now you can organize report columns by dragging and dropping them.
Click the column you want to move and drag it to the place you want it to be at.
