Member Types and Permissions

WebWork allows you to assign your workspace members different roles. Each role or member type offers different permissions and access to the workspace.

Member Types in WebWork

There are six Member Types that you can assign in your workspace:

  • Workspace Owner
  • Executive Manager
  • Team Manager
  • Project Manager
  • Regular User
  • Project Viewer

Each member type has its own set of permissions that your workspace members will have when assigned to a Member Type

There is also Customer type, however, customers are not active workspace members as they do not have an account. You simply add their details like email and address to use them for invoice billing. When you create an invoice, under Bill to you can select the customer.

Setting and changing member types

When adding new members to your workspace, you will be asked to assign a member type to them. Or you can always assign or change member types in People > Members > Member Type column.

Team ChatChat with Workspace MembersyyyyyIf turned into paid member

Note that Project Viewers are not paid members of the workspace and can only access the project they are assigned to. However, you have the option to turn them into paid members, which will turn them into a member you will be charged for and who will have the ability to use the chat, start video meetings, and create tasks.

To turn Project Viewers into paid members, go to People > Project Viewers > Enable paid collaboration.
