Transferring workspace ownership in WebWork
If you want to transfer the ownership of your workspace, you can do so in two ways:
- Transfer ownership to a new user (new email)
- Transfer workspace ownership to another existing WebWork account
Transferring your account to a new user (new email)
If the user you want to transfer ownership to is not registered on WebWork, follow these steps to transfer ownership to them:
- In your dashboard, go to Settings > Profile Settings > Profile
- Change your email address to one owned by the person you want to transfer your workspace to (or your other email if you want to stay the Owner but use another email address)
- Click Save changes
Now the new owner can log in using their email address and the password you set.They can then change the password from their own settings.
Transferring workspace ownership to an existing user of WebWork (Executive Manager)
If the user you want to transfer ownership to is already registered on WebWork, you will need to contact our support team.
- Contact our support about ownership transfer
- Provide the email address of the new owner and ensure they are a registered member and an Executive Manager in the same workspace
Good to know
1. Data transfer: When you transfer ownership, you switch places with the other account. However, your tracked data is not transferred.
2. Log out and log in: To ensure a smooth transfer, both you and the new owner should log out of your accounts before and after the transfer.
