Identifying the issue
If you’re tracking time on the WebWork Desktop Time Tracker, you might appear as Absent in your dashboard. This can happen in a couple of cases:
- You’re tracking time in the wrong workspace
- You’re viewing the dashboard of the wrong workspace
Both of these cases can happen if you’re a part of multiple WebWork workspaces. Alternatively, it is also possible that you accidentally created a new workspace when joining your employer’s one.
Solving the issue
To fix this issue, you can do two things:
- Check which workspace’s dashboard you’re absent in
- Check what workspace you’re tracking time in
Changing the active workspace on the dashboard
To change the active workspace on the WebWork dashboard, simply click the drop-down menu at the top-right of the page. Make sure you have the right workspace selected here and double-check your attendance status.
Changing the active workspace in the Desktop Time Tracker
If you appear absent in the correct workspace in the dashboard, you must change the active workspace in the Desktop Time Tracker. To do this:
- In the Desktop Time Tracker, go to Settings
- Scroll down all the way and click Change Workspace
- Sign in with your WebWork account and choose the correct workspace from the dropdown
