Customers

Creating Customer Profiles 

Customers in WebWork are your clients that you add to assign them projects and use their information for billing purposes. They are not active workspace members.

Customers in WebWork are only informational records — they don’t receive invitations, don’t have access to the platform, and are not counted as members, so you will not be charged for them.

To create Customer profiles follow these steps: 

  1. Go to Members > Customers and click Add Customer.

  2. Fill in the required details:

    • Name

    • Email

    • Address

    • Any additional information

  3. Assign the customer profile to a project.

Once added, you can use customer profiles to filter projects more easily.

Creating Invoices for Customers

After setting up customer profiles, you can create invoices directly for them:

  1. Go to Finances > Invoices.

  2. Click Create Invoice.

  3. Choose either a Custom Invoice or an Hour-Based Invoice.

  4. Select the customer profile you want to bill.

  5. (Optional) Enable Accept Payments so customers can pay the invoice directly with an added Pay button.

With customer profiles, you can keep your projects, invoices, and payments organized by client making it easier to manage your business in WebWork.
